KPU about the Koran Reading Test: Not Nomination Requirements

id Utama. Jakarta - The Council of Aceh Dai Association invited the two presidential candidates to take the Koran reading test. KPU said this did not become a nomination requirement.

"The legislation does not regulate the question (the Koran reading test) and does not become a nomination requirement," said KPU commissioner Ilham Saputra, when contacted by reporters on Monday (12/31/2018).

Ilham did not question if the presidential and vice presidential candidates were present to meet the invitation. But he reiterated that this did not affect the nomination requirements.

"If the candidate wants to attend, just go ahead, but again it doesn't affect the nomination requirements,"

Both presidential and vice-presidential candidates were invited to take the Koran reading test. The plan, the Koran reading test will be held at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh, on January 15, 2019.

"We invite both pairs of candidates to take the test of being able to read the Koran. The Koran reading test will be held at Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh, on January 15, 2019," said Chairperson of the Aceh Dai Association, Tgk Marsyuddin Ishak in Banda Aceh, Saturday (29 / 12) yesterday.
